Только что прочитал Алую Чуму Джека Лондона, и хочу поделиться впечатлениями:

На протяжении 45 страниц дед ест, плачет от варварства внучат, и рассказывает им о 2013, когда человечество откинулось от короновайруса, а жителям Сан-Франциско, среди которых был и дед, добровольно-принудительно пришлось поучаствовать в жестком батл-рояле, где выжившие от пуль откидывались от чумы, кроме везунчиков с иммунитетом (как вы поняли, в лотерее "один на миллион" дед выиграл).
И вот, жуя краба, отплевывая песок (спасибо мерзким детям) он смотрит в море и мечтает о майонезе. И ведь это опубликовано в 1913 году, Вторая Мировая еще не случилась, а люди уже пост апокалипсис писали!
