🇻🇪🇵🇪 Peruvian government opposes any foreign intervention in Venezuela

The Peruvian government is openly opposed to any foreign intervention in Venezuela and will contribute to international pressure against the Nicolás Maduro regime to ensure a peaceful transition in favor of Edmundo González Urrutia, whom it considers president-elect, Foreign Minister Elmer Schialer said on Thursday.

Asked about a possible timeframe for a transition of power in Venezuela, Schialer said that this will depend on the quality and quantity of international pressure that is exerted and how it is received in Venezuela.

He also added that it will depend on how long and to what extent it will be sustainable for Venezuelans themselves in their territory.
