Правительство Шри-Ланки не намерено продлевать программу бесплатных виз для граждан семи государств, включая Россию. Срок действия пробной программы истекает 31 марта 2024 года, напоминает ТАСС.
Ранее министерство туризма предполагало, что программу можно продлить, но в итоге было принято решение не делать этого.
С конца ноября действовала программа бесплатного предоставления виз для граждан России, Индии, Индонезии, Китая, Малайзии, Таиланда и Японии. Граждане этих стран подавали электронную просьбу и получали визу на 30 дней.

After fleeing Russia, the brothers founded Telegram as a way to communicate outside the Kremlin's orbit. They now run it from Dubai, and Pavel Durov says it has more than 500 million monthly active users. Such instructions could actually endanger people — citizens receive air strike warnings via smartphone alerts. The fake Zelenskiy account reached 20,000 followers on Telegram before it was shut down, a remedial action that experts say is all too rare.
