Еще один вид маленьких (в среднем 31 грамм) но очень хищных птичек с яркой окраской. Сидя у воды на веточках птички выжидают когда мимо будет проплывать подходящая по размерам рыбка, затем смело ныряют за ней под воду. За несколько часов наблюдений было поймано не меньше пяти рыбок.

Птичку можно найти на незамерзающих прозрачных мелководных реках, но сделать это не просто. Обычно если приближается человек, то они быстро перелетают в другое место.
