Советской Гавани Юрий Останин провёл урок мужества с учениками 6 класса школы№3. Ребята узнали о величайшем сражении Великой Отечественной войны – Курской битве. Этот бой продлился 50 дней и окончательно переломил ход Великой Отечественной войны. Германия полностью потеряла стратегическую инициативу и перешла к оборонительным сражениям. Советские войска, напротив, перешли в наступление.

«Даже сейчас спустя десятки лет, тяжело говорить о сражениях и потерях Великой Отечественной войны. Но мы обязаны это делать, говорить,
передавать детям эту память, чтобы они знали, помнили, чтили подвиг наших дедов и прадедов. Пока мы помним – они живы», - сказал парламентарий.
