До 2015 года он воевал в рядах “Джабхат Ан-Нусра”, однако был изгнан после массового убийства друзов в н.п. Кальб Лоза в июне того года. Тогда террористы казнили более сорока человек. После того, как боевики “Джабхат Ан-Нусры” нарушили присягу “Аль-Каиде”, Саяф Туниси остался верен радикалам и влился в ряды “Хуррас Ад-Дин”.
