Лидия Аркадьевна Постникова, жена купца по 1-й гильдии Дмитрия Андреевича Постникова, приобрела здание в 1886 году и задумала кардинальное переустройство. Архитектор Семён Семёнович Эйбушиц надстроил третий этаж и переделал фасад. Пассаж открылся в ноябре 1887 года, то есть почти 136 лет назад.
В историю Москвы пассаж вошёл как первый регулярный потребитель электроэнергии. Электричество в пассаж проводило «Общество электрического освещения 1886 года» Карла Фёдоровича Сименса.
Предприимчивая Постникова ещё не раз пристраивала и перестраивала свою недвижимость, пока не продала в 1909 году пассаж компаньонам Михаилу Тимофеевичу Гонцову и Ивану Ильичу Силуанову. После революции дом был национализирован. Какое-то время здесь заседал Высший совет народного хозяйства РСФСР. С 1929 года в пассаже началась театральная жизнь. Сюда переехал Государственный театр имени Мейерхольда (ГосТИМ). С 1946 года и по сей день здесь драматический театр имени Марии Николаевны Ермоловой.

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation.
