Помните брата Горанфло, персонажа "Графини де Монсоро"? Он подвизался в аббатстве Святой Женевьевы, каковым фактом, согласно Дюма, частенько злоупотреблял его кум, королевский шут Шико. И однажды вечером Шико, пробравшись туда на тайное совещание заговорщиков, "заметил, что легче войти в аббатство Святой Женевьевы, чем выйти оттуда".
Аббатство, основанное в VI веке и перестроенное в XII веке, было упразднено в годы Французской революции и снесено при Наполеоне, в 1807 году. Но в музее Клюни мы можем увидеть подлинные элементы декора аббатской церкви, помнящие если не Шико (а это реальная историческая фигура), то, во всяком случае, его современников.
На фото капители (верхние части колонн) и абаки (верхние части капителей), щедро украшенные птицами, львами и листвой с окончаниями в виде пальметт.
