Большая Почтовая улица в Басманном районе Центрального округа Москвы получила своё название в конце XIX века по находившемуся тут Почтовому двору, логистическому комплексу тогдашней императорской почты. Вместе с Малой Почтовой до переименования была единой Хапиловской улицей, а в 1924 году остаток Хапиловской и единая Почтовая улица получили современные названия.
