But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks. "Russians are really disconnected from the reality of what happening to their country," Andrey said.
