27 ноября Совет Федерации одобрил принятый накануне в трех чтениях Государственной Думой пакет законопроектов (Законопроект № 502104-8 и Законопроект № 502113-8), существенно ужесточающих ответственность за нарушения, связанные с обработкой персональных данных.
Так, вводятся административные штрафы до 15 млн. рублей за утечку персональных данных (до 20 млн. рублей за утечку биометрии) и оборотные штрафы до 3% от совокупной выручки (которые не могут превышать 500 млн. рублей) за повторную утечку. Также предусматривается уголовная ответственность за незаконное хранение/сбор/передачу персональных данных, полученных незаконным путем. Наказание может составить до 10 лет лишения свободы.
