В селе Хорницы, например, произошло подтопление 10 дворовых территорий, в том числе двух жилых домов. На месте происшествия побывала рабочая группа во главе с первым заместителем председателя правительства Якутии Дмитрием Садовниковым.
Сейчас для местных жителей созданы пункты временного размещения, кого эвакуировали к родственникам. МЧС совместно с населением работает над созданием искусственной дамбы.
