Студентка 4 курса Российского университета спорта «ГЦОЛИФК» Диана Шнайдер стала серебряным призером XXXIII Летних Олимпийских игр. На вторую ступень олимпийского пьедестала представительница РУС «ГЦОЛИФК» поднимется вместе со своей соотечественницей Миррой Андреевой – по итогам турнира по теннису в женском парном разряде.
Шнайдер и Андреева остановились в шаге от олимпийского золота. В финале турнира в Париже россиянки уступили соперницам из Италии Ясмин Паолини и Саре Эррани – 6:2, 1:6, 7:10.
