▪️73% респондентов полагают, что мы живём в развитой, передовой стране (в марте 2012 года так считали 43%); 15% думают, что мы живём в неразвитой, отсталой стране (в марте 2012 года - 45%).
▪️55% уверены, что мы живём в богатой стране; 26% - скорее в бедной; 20% затруднились ответить.
▪️73% считают, что мы живём в свободной стране (53% в январе 2022 года); 17% - в несвободной (38% три года назад).
▪️68% полагают, что Россию в мире уважают; 17% - не уважают.
▪️82% уверены, что Россию в мире боятся; 10% - что не боятся.
▪️65% считают, что влияние России в мире растёт; 20% - остаётся неизменным; 5% - снижается.
Президент Путин считает, что консолидация общества является одним из ключевых условий развития России, и без неё всё будет рассыпаться. Опрос ФОМ показывает, что в позитивных представлениях о своей стране и её месте в мире наше общество, как минимум, консолидировано.

Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. At this point, however, Durov had already been working on Telegram with his brother, and further planned a mobile-first social network with an explicit focus on anti-censorship. Later in April, he told TechCrunch that he had left Russia and had “no plans to go back,” saying that the nation was currently “incompatible with internet business at the moment.” He added later that he was looking for a country that matched his libertarian ideals to base his next startup. That hurt tech stocks. For the past few weeks, the 10-year yield has traded between 1.72% and 2%, as traders moved into the bond for safety when Russia headlines were ugly—and out of it when headlines improved. Now, the yield is touching its pandemic-era high. If the yield breaks above that level, that could signal that it’s on a sustainable path higher. Higher long-dated bond yields make future profits less valuable—and many tech companies are valued on the basis of profits forecast for many years in the future. On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. "There is a significant risk of insider threat or hacking of Telegram systems that could expose all of these chats to the Russian government," said Eva Galperin with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which has called for Telegram to improve its privacy practices.
