Учредителями латвийского юрлицастали журналистка «Новой» Мария Епифанова и главный редактор издания иноагент Кирилл Мартынов. Латвийскую версию издания запустили 19 апреля 2022 года.
У российской «Новой газеты», напомним, лицензию СМИ отозвали в сентябре прошлого года из-за того, что она с 2006 года так и не представила в Роскомнадзор свой обновлённый устав после смены учредителей.
