Число землетрясений магнитудой 4 и выше в районе эфиопской части Восточно-африканской рифтовой долины (в 150 км к востоку от столичной Аддис-Абебы и в 600 км от Великой плотины Эфиопского Возрождения), зарегистрированных в этом году, увеличилось до 41, что является самым высоким показателем за последние 10 лет.
