Другие заявления американского президента:

— Экипаж пассажирского самолёта действовал верно, катастрофу в Вашингтоне спровоцировал, по сути, вертолёт.

— Все, кто был на борту самолёта и вертолёта, погибли.

— США готовы помочь с передачей останков погибших в авиакатастрофе в Вашингтоне россиян на родину.

— Трамп пока не созванивался с Владимиром Путиным по поводу авиакатастрофы в Вашингтоне. Но, по его словам, Правительство США находится в контакте с Российской Федерацией.

— «Это была тёмная и мучительная ночь в столице нашей страны и в истории нашей страны, трагедия ужасных масштабов. Мы скорбим о каждой драгоценной душе, которая была отнята у нас так внезапно»

Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee.
