Perpetrators of such fraud use various marketing techniques to attract subscribers on their social media channels. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. Artem Kliuchnikov and his family fled Ukraine just days before the Russian invasion. It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists."
