Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. Sebi said data, emails and other documents are being retrieved from the seized devices and detailed investigation is in progress. False news often spreads via public groups, or chats, with potentially fatal effects. Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. Artem Kliuchnikov and his family fled Ukraine just days before the Russian invasion.
