✨️این تصویر زیبا از آسمان بین کهکشانی، سیستم جالبی از کهکشان‌ها به نام Arp 227 را نشان می‌دهد که در "اطلس کهکشان‌های عجیب" سال 1996 ثبت شده است. این سیستم در فاصله‌ای حدود 100میلیون سال نوری از ما و در محدوده صورت فلکی ماهی قرار دارد. Arp 227 شامل دو کهکشان اصلی است که در بالای تصویر و سمت چپ مرکز دیده می‌شوند: ☄کهکشان پوسته‌ای NGC 474 و همسایه آبی‌رنگ و مارپیچی آن NGC 470. پوسته‌ها و جریان‌های ستاره‌ای که در NGC 474 دیده می‌شوند، احتمالاً به دلیل برخوردهای گرانشی نزدیک با کهکشانی کوچکتر در بیش از یک میلیارد سال پیش به وجود آمده‌اند. 💥کهکشان بزرگ دیگری که در پایین سمت راست تصویر دیده می‌شود، NGC 467 است که به نظر می‌رسد آن هم توسط پوسته‌ها و جریان‌های کم‌نور احاطه شده باشد، نشانه‌ای از سیستم کهکشانی دیگری که در حال ادغام است.
