Вчера с коллегой Стасом Натанзоном поговорили о ситуации с преследованием русских в Казахстане. Собственно гнобят их исключительно за то, что они русские.
Эта ситуация многим - в том числе и жителям Казахстана - не кажется, как ни странно, опасной. Пишут даже в личку и в комментариях: прекратите нагнетать, это же какие-то маргиналы, политические фрики.
Я напомню, что Украина тоже начиналась с националистов-маргиналов, потешной борьбы за мову, криков бесноватой Фарион. А потом, за несколько лет, это стало единственно верным политическим трендом.

Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. So, uh, whenever I hear about Telegram, it’s always in relation to something bad. What gives? Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences. "For Telegram, accountability has always been a problem, which is why it was so popular even before the full-scale war with far-right extremists and terrorists from all over the world," she told AFP from her safe house outside the Ukrainian capital.
