Шабоян заявил, что для него неприемлемо такое поведение силовиков в отношении 9 преданных армянскому футболу болельщиков. За 18 лет работы в Исполкоме он никогда не сталкивался с таким отношением к болельщикам, против которых, как выясняется, возбудили уголовное дело. Шабоян поддержал требование фанатов об отставке главы ФФА.
Освобождения задержанных потребовал также ФК "Ширак", заявив о недопустимости силовых методов.
