Отметим, в предыдущие годы тюлени, как правило, возвращались на лежбище в город лишь в середине или конце октября. Специалисты не исключают, что виной ранней "миграции" в этом году может быть нехватка пищи и зачастившие штормы, которые в последнее время накрывали территорию полуострова.
Ранее ТК "41 Регион" сообщал о том, что сивучи начали перебираться с летних мест обитания поближе к Петропавловску-Камчатскому. В большом количестве эти звери "перекочевали" с лежки на мысе Кекурном у бухты Русской и появились на скалах острова Старичков.
