В военной разведке Украины утверждают, что при взрыве военнослужащий получил множественные обломочные поражения фактически всех органов и мозга — ему произвели трепанацию черепа.
В момент удара в селе проходили поминки по погибшему военнослужащему ВСУ Андрею Козырю, которого представитель России в ООН Виталий Небензя назвал «высокопоставленным националистом», а пришедших на поминки людей — «множеством его подельников-нацистов».
