Банан - не palmeira, а трава. Лиловый цветок травы растет, багровеет, и под собственной тяжестью клонится книзу, а "тычинки" загибаются кверху. Тычинка - часть бананового цветка, называется, tubo floral. Внутренность этой самой цветочной трубки мы зовем бананом, и едим, когда ее мякоть наливается сладостью.
А "корки" - отличное успокоительное и источник триптофана, из которого вырабатывается серотонин
