В словенском центре дизайна в 2016 году проходила выставка попроще, но на похожую тему – «Цветное серое» (Farebná šeď – Buntes Grau). Кураторы сравнивали известные образцы дизайна Чехословакии и ГДР, сгруппированые по разным бытовым темам. Из пресс-релиза «Основная цель выставки — открытие неизведанного, снятие взаимных предубеждений о плохом дизайне и попытка организации «конкурса» дизайна между двумя бывшими социалистическими странами, где красочный дизайн создавался, несмотря на «серую» политическую ситуацию». В промо-материалах выставки меня смутила неправильная атрибуция стула с полукруглым вырезом у основания спинки. Кураторы приписывают его Франтишеку Йираку (František Jirák), хотя он автор стульев с овальным вырезом для Tatra и массы другой мебели.

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Pavel Durov, Telegram's CEO, is known as "the Russian Mark Zuckerberg," for co-founding VKontakte, which is Russian for "in touch," a Facebook imitator that became the country's most popular social networking site. "The result is on this photo: fiery 'greetings' to the invaders," the Security Service of Ukraine wrote alongside a photo showing several military vehicles among plumes of black smoke. Telegram users are able to send files of any type up to 2GB each and access them from any device, with no limit on cloud storage, which has made downloading files more popular on the platform.
