С 12 по 15 февраля проходили съёмки полуфинала телевизионной олимпиады «Умницы и умники» в телецентре «Останкино» в Москве.
От Ульяновской области в играх участвуют Камилла Абулханова (Губернаторский лицей № 100), Ангелина Буянова (Средняя школа № 57) и Юлия Ковалёва (Гимназия №33).
По итогам полуфинальных игр — 3 ордена и 1 медаль у Ангелины Буяновой и 1 медаль у Камиллы Абулхановой. В финальных играх Ангелина, Камилла и Юлия будут играть как теоретики.
