Малая Родина позвала на этот раз очень настойчиво — так, что я не смогла устоять и приехала в Гдов одна с двумя мелкими детьми на двух транспортах (Петербург — Сланцы и попутка), настолько мне «приспичило». Никогда прежде не было такого нестерпимого желания...

По дороге к дому зашли в церковь, поставили свечки, купили иконку, немного постояли на вечерней службе. Протопили дома печь, привели в порядок участок, собрали пять яблок. Гуляли, кормили щенков на улице, мылись в городской бане, ели вкусный местный хлеб. Заглянули в родную школу, прошлись «моей тропой» до Кингисеппской и успели прибрать могилы.

Обожаю этот особый воздух, тишину, улицы, асфальт, домики и всегда теплый прием.
