Как отмечает «Говорит НеМосква», Студвесну уже привязывали к «патриотизму»: в 2020 году ее темой была «Весна победы». В другие года организаторы брали за основу тематики фестиваля достопримечательности и символы городов. Учитывая региональные мероприятия, в Российской студвесне ежегодно участвуют около 1,5 млн студентов.
