По предварительным данным пожар произошел на борту самолета Sukhoi Superjet 100-95LR авиакомпании Azimut Airlines, прилетевшем из Сочи. По словам очевидцев, сначала загорелся двигатель.
В связи с произошедшим взлетно-посадочная полоса, на которой приземлился самолет, была закрыта для посадки и взлета.
