WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world. One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. In view of this, the regulator has cautioned investors not to rely on such investment tips / advice received through social media platforms.
