В Челябинске завершен прием документов на конкурс по отбору кандидатов на пост главы города. Процедура стартовала 7 октября и завершилась сегодня, 17 октября.
Заявки на участие в конкурсе подали 29 человек. Среди претендентов оказались председатель Контрольно-счетной палаты Челябинской области Алексей Лошкин, глава администрации Калининского района Челябинска Владимир Шамне и депутат регионального Заксобрания Павел Жолобов. Возраст кандидатов – от 25 до 64 лет. В числе заявителей пять женщин.
31 октября закончится проверка документов, а 7 ноября пройдет заседание конкурсной комиссии. Кандидатам предстоит пройти ряд испытаний. Затем депутаты проголосуют за кандидатуры из числа победителей конкурса.

At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. The original Telegram channel has expanded into a web of accounts for different locations, including specific pages made for individual Russian cities. There's also an English-language website, which states it is owned by the people who run the Telegram channels. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. Telegram users are able to send files of any type up to 2GB each and access them from any device, with no limit on cloud storage, which has made downloading files more popular on the platform. In the past, it was noticed that through bulk SMSes, investors were induced to invest in or purchase the stocks of certain listed companies.
