I've never been one to make new year resolutions, I think at least partly because my situation until recently seemed pretty immutable. I still lived so close to my parents that changing myself seemed almost impossible somehow. But my life has completely changed in 2024 - I graduated college, got a new job, and moved 1000 miles away to a new apartment with my partner. It feels more possible than ever to improve myself.

I want to get better at art. I draw entirely for enjoyment, but I specifically want to get better at having fun with art. I currently have a huge perfectionism problem with art. I also require large uninterrupted blocks of time in order to draw so that I can hyperfocus on drawing. Both of these issues lead to me drawing way less than I would like to, and having less to show for it too!

That's why I'm resolving to draw something every day of 2025. It doesn't have to be big, it can even just be a tiny doodle, but I want to create something every single day. I'm doing the classic artist challenge, and hopefully by the end, I'll have improved my relationship with the process of creating art, be able to draw a lot more, and have fun in the process.

The S&P 500 fell 1.3% to 4,204.36, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.7% to 32,943.33. The Dow posted a fifth straight weekly loss — its longest losing streak since 2019. The Nasdaq Composite tumbled 2.2% to 12,843.81. Though all three indexes opened in the green, stocks took a turn after a new report showed U.S. consumer sentiment deteriorated more than expected in early March as consumers' inflation expectations soared to the highest since 1981. They may also impersonate or clone licensed capital market intermediaries by using the names, logos, credentials, websites and other details of the legitimate entities to promote the illegal schemes. "Someone posing as a Ukrainian citizen just joins the chat and starts spreading misinformation, or gathers data, like the location of shelters," Tsekhanovska said, noting how false messages have urged Ukrainians to turn off their phones at a specific time of night, citing cybersafety. Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today."
