Реактор весом 147,5 т доставят из Подольска по железной дороге до станции Новый порт в Санкт-Петербурге, далее по воде на верфи Балтийского завода.
В акватории Северного морского пути сейчас работают три ледокола проекта 22220: «Арктика», «Сибирь» и «Урал». Балтийский завод в настоящее время продолжает строительство третьего и четвертого: «Якутия» - сдача в декабрь 2024 года и «Чукотка» – сдача декабрь 2026 года.
Универсальные атомные ледоколы проекта 22220 являются самыми большими и мощными ледокольными судами в мире: длина — 174 м; ширина — 34 м; осадка — 10,5 м / 9,3 м; мощность — 60 МВт (на валах); водоизмещение — 33,54 тыс. тонн; расчетный срок службы — 40 лет; численность экипажа — 53 человека.
