Хотели поделиться с вами одним каминным креслом, но традиция есть традиция, поэтому в этот жаркий день извлекаем очередной шезлонг, на сей раз прямиком из космических шестидесятых, а именно из 1968 года. Вопреки утверждениям о том, что автором этого кресла был некий Росси Молинари, уверены, что оно было спроектировано студией «Rossi-Molinari», основанной Пьерлуиджи Молинари, а вот имя конкретного дизайнера, как и имя партнера Молинари, неизвестно. Зато известно, что называлось это кресло «Toy»; его основание изготавливалось из листа оргстекла, а подушка – из других синтетических материалов, благодаря чему складывалось ощущение, что сидящий в нем находится в состоянии невесомости – настоящий #spaceage!
Великолепным дополнением к креслу могли бы стать светильники и журнальный стол, также спроектированные «Studio Rossi-Molinari» в конце 1960-х гг.

We’ve been meaning to put together a post about a remarkable fireplace chair, but we’ll save it for winter days. In the meantime, in keeping with one of our traditions of posting sun loungers when it is unbearably hot to post anything else, here is another outdoor chair for you, this time right from the space-age sixties. We tend to disagree with multiple sellers claiming that this 1968 piece was designed by a certain Rossi Molinari and believe it was in fact created by Studio Rossi-Molinari founded by Pierluigi Molinari. Regrettably, there’s no information on the studio or the actual designer behind this chair. What is certain though is that the chair marketed as Toy was produced of a single sheet of Plexiglas and came with a weatherproof cushion. When the base was transparent, it felt as though the seater were floating in midair in the absence of gravity – a true #spaceage design!
As a bonus, we can’t help sharing these lighting sculptures and coffee tables, designed by the same studio in the late 1960s.
