Участница флешмобма рассказала изданию, что Хрычова выбрали потому, что он в них «всегда уверен». «Идею запустила моя одноклассница. Сейчас очень популярно и модно ставить своих кумиров на аватарку. Ставят и президента, и звёзд, и репетиторов… Мы решили, что поставим Николая Дмитриевича, так как он всегда поддерживает молодежь. Он всегда в нас уверен, часто нам это говорит. Вот мы и решили. Лично мне кажется, что помогло».
