Большую часть задержанных отпустили без составления протоколов. В большинстве городов сотрудники в форме и штатском снимали возлагавших цветы на камеру и переписывали их данные, а мемориалы разрушали, выбрасывая цветы в урну. В некоторых регионах были перекрыты подходы к памятникам.
