Одна из задач концепции — расширять применение ДЭГ. При этом, как пояснила глава ЦИК РФ Элла Памфилова, новая версия ГАС «Выборы», как и прежняя, поможет избиркомам организовывать как традиционное, так и дистанционное электронное голосование.
