Writing a date on the cover of the dvd after finishing it, then putting it on the shelf. Imagine having a shelf of all the movies you’ve watched (I mean you can still do that now but it just hits different seeing your collection grow instead of buying it online). Yeah I get it there’s still dvd stores out there but not a lot like before :( I used to have a dvd store right in front of my house, I just needed to cross a street.
