Открывая встречу, глава региона напомнил, что в августе они уже встречались в рамках мероприятия-спутника IV Конгресса молодых учёных, где он вручил им Благодарственные письма Губернатора Мурманской области за весомый вклад в заполярную науку.
Андрей Чибис подчеркнул, что главная цель встречи – узнать мнение молодого поколения ученых, какие меры необходимо предпринять правительству Мурманской области для того, чтобы людям науки комфортно жилось и работалось в Кольском Заполярье.
