Для воплощения масштабного проекта в жизнь на территории острова ещё в 2020 году в эксплуатацию ввели газопровод-отвод и газораспределительную станцию «Тымовское». Также были построены четыре межпоселковых газопровода.
На данный момент в Сахалинской области к природному газу подключены порядка 300 абонентов. Уверены, что к 2025 году это число намного увеличится, если продолжать активно заниматься этим вопросом.
