Australia's most prominent nationalist figures - Joel Davis, Thomas Sewell, Blair Cottrell and Jacob Hersant - have all been banned from X along with at least 12 other right-wing activist accounts.

Mr Davis told Noticer News he believes the Australian government requested the bans, and asked his supporters to pressure Elon Musk into revealing the truth.

"This was directly contradictory not only to Musk's commitment to free speech but also his public opposition to the censorship efforts of the Australian government"

The S&P 500 fell 1.3% to 4,204.36, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.7% to 32,943.33. The Dow posted a fifth straight weekly loss — its longest losing streak since 2019. The Nasdaq Composite tumbled 2.2% to 12,843.81. Though all three indexes opened in the green, stocks took a turn after a new report showed U.S. consumer sentiment deteriorated more than expected in early March as consumers' inflation expectations soared to the highest since 1981. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app. Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov. Either way, Durov says that he withdrew his resignation but that he was ousted from his company anyway. Subsequently, control of the company was reportedly handed to oligarchs Alisher Usmanov and Igor Sechin, both allegedly close associates of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
