At the Church of The Tikhivin Icon of the Mother of God, The Patriarchal Metochion of the Simonov Monastery the Divine Liturgy was celebrated, led by Fr. Paul Sushil, Rector of the Parish of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Lahore (Pakistan). He was assisted by Fr. Clement Nehamaiya, Rector of the Parish of the Life-Giving Trinity in Chandrapur (India).

Students of the Tomsk Theological Seminary, from Pakistan, prayed at the service. The chants of the Liturgy were in Church Slavonic, and the Gospel reading was read in the guests’ native language.

After the Liturgy, Fr. Clement addressed the congregation with a sermon, in which he noted the need to fight temptations in missionary service.

The guests were given a tour of the Tikhvin Church and the territory of the former Simonov Monastery. The clergy and students of the seminary visited the prosphora bakery for practical purposes to learn the experience of making prosphora.

The visit of foreign students and clergy to Moscow will soon end. “This is the first time that priests from Pakistan and India have served together. The Russian Orthodox Church unites them in brotherly love”.

Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” "Your messages about the movement of the enemy through the official chatbot … bring new trophies every day," the government agency tweeted. As a result, the pandemic saw many newcomers to Telegram, including prominent anti-vaccine activists who used the app's hands-off approach to share false information on shots, a study from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue shows. Asked about its stance on disinformation, Telegram spokesperson Remi Vaughn told AFP: "As noted by our CEO, the sheer volume of information being shared on channels makes it extremely difficult to verify, so it's important that users double-check what they read." "The inflation fire was already hot and now with war-driven inflation added to the mix, it will grow even hotter, setting off a scramble by the world’s central banks to pull back their stimulus earlier than expected," Chris Rupkey, chief economist at FWDBONDS, wrote in an email. "A spike in inflation rates has preceded economic recessions historically and this time prices have soared to levels that once again pose a threat to growth."
