We’re told parasites cause disease. But what if they’re actually symptoms of a toxic body, not the root cause? Let’s rethink parasites from a terrain perspective.

In nature, scavengers like vultures and fungi don’t cause decay—they break down waste and dead material. Parasites do the same inside the body, and outside the body.

The term parasite is a misnomer, but we will use it for discussion sake. It includes tapeworms, helminths, roundworms, flukes, etc.

Parasites are bioremediators. They accumulate and process environmental toxins, heavy metals, and dead tissue that the body struggles to eliminate. They thrive where waste builds up.

Think of parasites like mold in a damp house. Mold doesn’t cause the problem—the damp, stagnant environment does. Remove the moisture, and the mold disappears.

Similarly, parasites flourish in degraded terrain—a body overloaded with waste, and toxicity. They are a consequence of poor health, not the cause.

If parasites caused disease, every person exposed to them would fall ill. But many carry parasites without symptoms. The key factor? The terrain.

Many so-called parasitic infections appear in individuals with heavy toxic loads, poor digestion, and stagnant lymph. Are parasites attacking, or are they cleaning up the mess?

Example: Parasites bioaccumulate heavy metals like mercury and lead, often carrying more weight in toxins than their body weight! This is called bioremediation.

When you kill parasites using any treatment, these toxins are released back into circulation.

This is why aggressively “killing” parasites without fixing the terrain backfires. The body loses a key detox mechanism, and symptoms can cyclically worsen from reabsorbed toxins.

Instead of waging war on parasites, we should ask: Why does the body need them in the first place? When the terrain improves, parasites naturally leave.

Parasites aren’t invaders. They’re part of a biological cleanup crew, thriving where waste accumulates. Fix the terrain, and they have no reason to stay.

Next time you hear “parasites cause disease,” ask: Are they the problem, or a solution to a deeper issue?
