Кинодокумент рассказывает о судьбе бойцов штурмового батальона «Сомали» Народной милиции ДНР при штурме Мариуполя в 2022 году. Создатели картины — Максим Фадеев и Сергей Белоус снимали батальон на протяжении нескольких лет войны еще до признания Донбасса частью исторических регионов России.
Заключённым показали первую серию. Всего в документальном сериале четыре части: «Прорыв к центру», «Спасение „Малого“», «Выход к морю» и «На подступах к „Азовстали“».
