Начало поставок предусмотрено в ноябре после прохождения сертификации. Кадры производства первого ЭС104 на «Уральских локомотивах» (входят в СТМ) в начале апреля показал «Первый канал». В линейке поездов «Синары» новая машина заменит электропоезда «Ласточка».
