В состав его членов вернулся «Алтайвагон» (в периметре ГК «ТАЛТЭК). Таким образом в Союзе ОВС теперь представлены все крупнейшие вагоностроители страны: в него также входят Тихвинский вагоностроительный завод (в составе ОВК), «Уралвагонзавод» и RM Rail.
С учетом других предприятий-участников – Концерна «Тракторные заводы» (владеет Канашским вагоностроительным заводом) и Стахановского ВСЗ – на членов Союза ОВС, по его же оценкам, приходится более 80% грузовых вагонов, выпускаемых в России. На проходившем на этой неделе общем собрании объединения одной из задач было заявлено расширение выпуска вагонов и номенклатуры их составных частей с целью выполнения поручения Президента России Владимира Путина по развитию национальной промышленности.
