Место подвига "Варяга" и "Корейца"

Все, кто отправляется в Южную Корею самолетом, прилетают в международный аэропорт Инчхон. Но вряд ли многие знают, что город Инчхон назывался ранее Чемульпо, а героическая битва крейсера "Варяг" и канонерской лодки "Кореец" с японской эскадрой произошла в 1904 г. всего в нескольких километрах от современного здания аэропорта.

В самом городе есть площадь Санкт-Петербурга, на которой в 2004 году был открыт монумент в честь подвига русских моряков, представляющий из себя изображение бескозырки в волнах.

На площади, помимо памятника, имеется еще ряд малых архитектурных форм, связанных с Россией.
