Журналист обратился к Владимиру Путину с просьбой предоставить ему российское гражданство в конце прошлого года. И спустя пару месяцев Лучиди получил его. Теперь итальянец, освещающий ход СВО, может не бояться западных санкций и нападок. А вот что сам Лучиди думает по этому поводу:
«Я очень рад, что получил гражданство России. Для меня это мечта. Хочу поблагодарить власти, которые помогали в этом процессе, и всех друзей и коллег, которые поддерживали меня все это время. Поддерживали мою работу здесь, в России. В России, которая теперь моя родина».
За то время, которое Андреа живет в России, он успел принять участие в кремлевском проекте «Мастерская новых медиа», а также начал сотрудничество с российскими СМИ.

In February 2014, the Ukrainian people ousted pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych, prompting Russia to invade and annex the Crimean peninsula. By the start of April, Pavel Durov had given his notice, with TechCrunch saying at the time that the CEO had resisted pressure to suppress pages criticizing the Russian government. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips.
