После волшебной Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, в которой разработчикам удалось в том числе за счёт приятной и обволакивающей музыки создать атмосферу арабской сказки, Warrior Within представила совсем другого Принца. Агрессивного, жестокого, отчаянного и готового на всё, чтобы исправить ошибки прошлого. Игровой процесс тоже стал куда жёстче — с обилием эффектных приёмов и суровых добиваний. И ключевым элементом этого нового образа стала музыка, которая была под стать всему остальному в игре.
Грязный гитарный звук, нагнетающий тревожность, смешался с арабскими мотивами, в которых, правда, не осталось и следа от приятной музыки из первой части серии. Вдобавок к оригинальному саундтреку разработчики лицензировали треки рок-группы Godsmack — I Stand Alone и Straight Out of Line. Смелее в те времена оказались разве что авторы оригинальной Need for Speed: Most Wanted, которые добавили в игру музыку Disturbed и Bullet for My Valentine.
